The Pictou County Recreation & Athletics Society is a non-profit organization made up of a dozen or so volunteers from the county who are interested in maintaining a top calibre track and field facility for our county residents as well as developing a competitive track and field club for our youth. The society was formed in the fall of 2004 and restructured in 2011. It includes an executive as well as board of directors along with numerous committees such as programming, maintenance, fundraising, and promotion.

OUR MISSION:

To promote and support increased health and fitness of Pictou County residents through the development of athletics and general recreation; to encourage people of all ages and abilities to participate in athletics; to support leadership development through athletics; to support development of improved athletic facilities; to acquire real and personal property to use to accomplish our mandate.
